Molarity of 96% (w/w) Sulfuric acid (H2SO4)

Density of H2SO4 = 1.84g/mL

Molecular weight of H2SO4 is 98.079

96 ml H2SO4 equals 96 x 1.84 = 176.64 g

Hence, 100 ml H2SO4 volume contains 176.64 g H2SO4. So 1 liter volume of H2SO4 contains 1776.4 g.

Hence, the molarity of 96% H2SO4 is 1776.4/98.079 = 18.11 M
